TW120 Integrated Sleeper

The TW120 Sleeper is a flat bottomed reinforced concreted twin block sleeper used for embedded rail slab construction.

The unique profile allows for shallow depth slab track installation and the integrated features help generate significant cost and time savings, on both the track construction and programme, as they facilitate quick installation, reduce maintenance time and enhance track quality.

Around 20,000 Sateba TW120 Sleepers have been supplied to the Midland Metro line in the UK, and are a common sleeper type for light rail construction throughout Europe.

Key benefits include:

• Compatible with all gauges, fastening systems and all types of track finish.
• Cast in levelling inserts allow for rapid installation and accurate alignment of the track.
• Removes the need for structural support of the rail from the surrounding concrete slab.
• Only requires concreting up to the underside of the rail foot and can then be finished with a variety of materials e.g. grass, concrete, asphalt, and block paving.
• Easy maintenance with access to fastening systems and no requirement to remove the road surfaces.
